Yesterday night two friends of mine were at my house and gave me a wonderful present.
It's a travel diary for my trip to America.
I think it is really cute and I can write everything down or put pictures in it, so that I have a great souvenir.
And there are pictures of them and me in it, too. So I'll have something of them in America if I get homesick.

Right now I try to pack my suitcase. I wonder if everything I'd like to take will fit in it.
And while packing the suitcase I get more and more excited. I can't believe that we will be on our flight to America on Wednesday.

no packing yet, but cleaning our glasshouse and preparing the garden so as I do not have to do it all when we coem back in NOVEMBER!!!!. Still 15 tests to grade so I can return them Monday. All the rest is going well and smoothly.
But I am getting a little excited. It is for sure going to be a great trip

Just ten days left !

I cannot believe that we are going to see America in just a few days ! Every time I think of it it sounds like a joke because it feels so amazing !
America had always been a country that I wanted to go and I think, when I am there, I will stop and stare for a few hours, trying to realize that I am definitely there.
I wonder if the American students are similar to the Germans or if we are totally different; and, of course, I hope that we will understand each other; in terms of personality and in terms of language…
I am sure we will have a great time in Charles City (and Saint Ansgar of course) and will get to know America at least a little better. I cannot wait for it !

Hey there,
Still 3 weeks and I cannot wait to see what it is like to be  in America! I am so excited to see what life in America is like because all people always say the Americans are so friendly. I hope school will not be too exhausting because it is tough to stay in school from 8 a.m. till evening. With my host-sister I will stay on her farm so it is definitely a new experience because I lived in the town for my whole life. My host- sister seems to be  really friendly and I am happy to stay with her while spending my time in America. St. Ansgar only have about 1.100 inhabitant so it will be easy to get to know someone and homecoming is one of the big events which will happen when I am there and I cannot even imagine what it will like to be there and see it with my own eyes.
So see you soon America :)

In 3 weeks we are in america! I'm so excited that I began to do a packing list. I can't wait longer to get to know my host-family and I hope I will understand what they say (;
I'm sure it will be one of the best experience in our life. I heard what we gonna do in america and it really sounds amazing! (:
But the last 3 weeks in germany will be strenuous. We have to write many class exercises and we have to do some departments.
But I'm really looking forward to see you all! (:

I'm so excited

I can't wait any longer! If it's possible I would already pack all my bags.
I'm sure we will have a good time, but all the time I'm thinking what I have to do until we'll leave Germany. In addition there is a lot of work at school, I have to manage the notes in favour the time I'll miss German school.

I already get to know my two exchange students and they're greatly cute! I'm  awaiting Oct 3!!!
The German students arrange the fundraising once again. We have to speak about the details, when, where and what and I hope it'll work!

We will have so much fun getting together for Homecoming, plus Anna and my family will be taking a trip to the Mall of America and the Schell's Brewery in New Ulm, MN! While we are in New Ulm I will be doing some of my senior pictures plus we will be visiting a farm! I cannot wait to meet all of you! Good Bye for now!

Only five weeks left!

Hello, I think it is about time to get an American blog post on here..... :)

Can you believe it?! Only 5 weeks till the exchange students will be here in America! I am very excited to get the chance to meet everyone and to be hosting again. I keep looking at the calendar, hoping that the exchange students would finally arrive!
I am also very excited to host my new German Sister Luise. We have been talking for about three months now. We have a great time learning more about each other each time we write or Skype. I love how we find so many things in common. For instance, we both love to talk....A LOT! I think it will be awesome when we finally meet in person.
As a host, I am always trying to find things that Luise is interested in. I want to make sure that she has a great time while she is here. I also want to help everyone else have a great time too. Right now, I am helping plan some activities for the exchange students. With some luck, we will have many great things planned for them.
